Full-Time Family Support Counselor
Responsibilities
Assists families in crisis at the time of a relative’s psychiatric screening/admission to the hospital
Provides support and assistance with navigating the admission process.
Functions as a family advocate
Attends visiting hours, and refers and links families to supportive community services
Works cooperatively with hospital staff and PESP staff
Qualifications
BSW in Social Work, BA/BS in Psychology, or related field or a Registered Nursing Degree
Two years of direct experience in mental health/human services required
Valid New Jersey driver’s license
Location
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Hackensack, New Jersey

Three shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Two shifts: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
