Psychiatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Responsibilities
Performs psychiatric evaluations, comprehensive health assessments, medication monitoring, and psycho-education
Work as part of the staff team in a short term crisis outpatient program
Utilizes a wide range of treatment modalities with consumers
Must be able to adhere to the program’s standards for maintaining accurate and up to date electronic charts
Works collaboratively with psychiatrist according to joint service agreements.
Qualifications
MSN from an accredited university approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing for APNs
Registered Nurse (RN) and Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the State of New Jersey
CDS in the State of New Jersey and valid Federal DEA certificate
Completed highest level of practice in the area related to degree
Three years of direct practice experience, at least one year in a community mental health setting
